Pick-ups & Demolition
Pick-ups
Q: How much stuff can I fit into your truck?
A: Our trucks can hold as much as 4 normal sized pick-up truck loads, all in one truck. The demensions of the body of the truck are roughly 12' long x 8' wide x 5' high.
Q: Does the debris have to be in the driveway or can it be removed from anywhere?
A: Our crews can remove your debris from anywhere. The only factor is that with each full-load, there is a corresponding "Labor Allowance" of (2) two hours. If removing any debris is labor intensive, it may exceed the labor allowance and there may be small additional charges.
Q: How many people are in the crew?
A: Generally, our crews will consist of 2 or 3 men.
Q: How much can a full load weigh and what are the costs?
A: A full load price covers up to 1 ton of debris. Our trucks can be loaded with up to 4 tons of debris. Each ton over the allowed amount will be charged per ton, the same amount that the landfill will charge us. Once we quote you a price, that is what you will pay and nothing more. Some companies have hidden fee's, you will know up front what you are paying before the job begins. That price will cover all labor, loading and dumping fees.
Q: If the items I have are "Bulky" but not "Heavy" how does that affect the price?
A: In this situation, the "Load Size" would be the driving factor in determining the price, not the "Weight".
Q: I have some concrete that I need removed. It's heavy, but won't take up that much space. How does that affect the price?
A: In this situation, the "Weight" would be the driving factor in determining the price, not the "Load Size". A 1/4 load of concrete could easily weigh more than 2,000 lbs. In that case, you would be charged the "Full Load' price though it was only a "1/4 Load".
Q: I have an appliance that I need picked up.... how much will that cost?
A: Because we must pay to dispose of appliances we have a price guideline on different appliances. Basically, it depends on where the appliance is located. It would be less expensive if the appliance was outside, rather than having to be removed from inside of the home.
Q: Can you give me an exact time that you will arrive?
A: Yes. We can set you up with an appointment. We offer same day services. In addition, you must call early in the day so that we can schedule your job the same day you call. We will call you prior to our arrival to confirm your appointment.
Q: When do I have to pay for a pick-up and what payment methods do you accept?
A: Unless credit has been established, payment is required upon completion of the work. We accept cash and both personal/business checks.
Demolition
Q: What type of demolition do you do?
A: We specialize in residential/commercial interior and exterior demolition. Our jobs range in size from removing an old floor to completely gutting out an entire house or building for renovation. We can also demolish additions, porches, sheds, garages, or entire structures utilizing equipment and/or crews.
Q: How do you dispose of the debris that is generated from the demolition process?
A: We will provide a dump truck and once the debris is loaded into the truck, it is taken to a rubble landfill for processing.
Q: Are you insured?
A: Yes, we are fully insured. We would be happy to provide you with a certificate of insurance showing our insurance limits. That request can be made by contacting a T & A Hauling Services representative at our office.
Q: Do you provide all the tools necessary to do the work?
A: Generally, we have all the tools necessary to complete most demolition projects. We invest a significant amount of money annually to keep our tools current and operational. In event that T & A Hauling Services is required to rent a special tool, the customer would be responsible for the rental fees.
